Program Details

Clue is a Windows-based program that simplifies the task of creating control description sheets for orienteering events. The program provides the following features:

• Menu selection of control description symbols
• Drag and drop toolbar for adding controls to a course
• Toolbar customization
• Optional manual or automatic descriptive text
• Descriptive text in English, Swedish, Spanish, and French
• Master control sheet with courses created from the master
• Control and course cross-reference
• High capacity (640 controls per course; 50 courses)
• Automatic control numbering
• Text rows
• Marked routes
• Multiple start styles
• Multiple finish styles
• Print preview
• Print multiple clue sheets on a page
• Print multiple courses on a page
• Fields for notes and comments
• Program documentation (help text)
• Mandatory crossing points have been added.
• Control Code sequences can now be entered which simplifies entry of control codes.

Version 1.7.2

Version 1.7.2 is supported on Windows 95 and above (e.g., 95/98/NT/2000/XP). Version 1.7.2 includes the following minor changes:

• A defect associated with the entry of a text row has been corrected.

Version 1.7.1

Version 1.7.1 is supported on Windows 95 and above (e.g., 95/98/NT/2000/XP). Version 1.7.1 includes the following minor changes:

• A defect associated with firm ground has been corrected.
• Spanish can now be selected as a language for descriptive text.

Version 1.5

Version 1.5 is the last version of the program that is supported on Windows 3.1. Version 1.5 is also supported on Windows 95/98/NT/2000.

Download Information

Version 1.7.1 and 1.7.2 are provided as setup files. Simply download the file and double-click the file. An installation wizard will guide you through the installation process.

Version 1.5 is downloaded as a zip file. In order to use the software, you will need to download WinZip to extract the files. Once the files are extracted, you should run the setup program to install the software.

Version 1.7.2 is the recommended and most current version of the program.
